New Avaya agent desktop application enhances Citrix Application Delivery Infrastructure solutions

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. (November 05, 2009) –

Avaya today said its Avaya one-X Agent desktop application has been verified as Citrix Ready(TM). The Citrix Ready program identifies recommended solutions that are trusted to enhance the Citrix Delivery Center Infrastructure. Avaya one-X Agent completed a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with Citrix® XenApp(TM).

The products featured in Citrix Ready have completed verification testing thereby providing customer confidence in joint solution compatibility. Customers can be confident that Avaya one-X Agent has successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix and is verified to work effectively with XenApp, in Avaya “Desktop” mode and “Other” mode.

Avaya one-X Agent is Avaya’s newest agent desktop application, providing seamless support for at-home agents, remote agents, outsourced agents and agents physically located in a centralized contact center. Contact centers today require not only security and flexibility in deployment options, but also the ability to turn up new agents quickly. XenApp helps enable these capabilities, and certification in the Citrix Ready program helps ensures Avaya one-X Agent will run seamlessly in the environment. This solution provides contact center agents with world-class telephony, collaboration and agent features. With XenApp, Avaya one-X Agent is streamed from a server instead of installed on each Agent’s PC, enabling quick turn up of new agents, reducing desktop hardware requirements, and simplifying management of remote desktops.
